B&Q (Ex-Homebase Stores)

Following the acquisition of eight former Homebase units in the UK and Ireland, B&Q partnered with Greens to transform these with their new store model.

Working our way around the UK and Ireland

With years of experience working with B&Q to update their retail signage and open new stores, we were excited to be chosen to complete the brand's new eight-site project to transform former Homebase units.

For the first phase of this project, we transformed the five sites around the UK: Altrincham, Basingstoke, Biggleswade, Leamington Spa and Worcester.

Once completed, we moved on to the three stores in Ireland: Navan, Letterkenny, and Waterford.

Each site had unique requirements, but generally included a checklist of essential signage adapted to the store layout.

All eight ribbon cuttings for the new store openings.

Sign Package

Our sign package included external, internal, and car park signage for each site, including:

  • Internally illuminated flex face skins installed over aluminium frames
  • Flat cut, powder-coated 'arrow' entrance sign
  • Aluminium panels and freestanders with vinyl branding details
  • Digi-print vinyl window graphics
  • Hanging 'paint frame' installation
  • Opal acrylic, internally illuminated built-up letter sets

We achieved B&Q’s desired opening dates for their new locations through stringent coordination and effective collaboration across our internal teams.

All 8 acquired stores opened and trading under the B&Q banner in less than 7 weeks... Thanks to everyone involved both our B&Q teams as well as our external partners you've been amazing.
