Howdens

Following a rebrand, Howdens entrusted Team Greens with updating their signage across 280 sites spanning the North of England.

Securing the work

In early 2021, Howdens embarked on an extensive rebranding initiative, seeking signage companies capable of executing this large-scale project. Our strong reputation and prior experience working with the Howdens brand, teamed with a comprehensive project plan, secured us 280 locations (Howdens' Northern store portfolio).

The signage delivered

Each location underwent a detailed site survey, which we developed into a bespoke sign package tailored to specific site requirements. As standard, these included at least one main logo tray and refreshed poster frames, but many also received totems and other freestanding signage in addition. 

Pace of delivery

Due to our highly organised approach and the expertise of our dedicated project manager, installation manager, and skilled artworkers, at the peak of this project, we completed 20 sites a week.

Challenges overcome

As with any substantial project, we encountered various challenges, such as access restrictions and asbestos-related issues. Notably, our project manager navigated an unexpected delay caused by a bee’s nest, which led to a three-month postponement at one site.

Despite these obstacles, our team demonstrated flexibility alongside steadfast problem-solving, completing all 280 sites over 28 weeks.
