Halfords Garage Services Rollout
Consolidating Halfords' estate, transforming over 100 stores with new external and internal signage from Fort William to Canterbury.
The Brief
The programme involved updating more than 100 existing Halfords stores to the latest brand guidelines, rebranding National Tyres branches and merging the two formats at selected locations to create larger Garage Services sites.
Spanning the country from Canterbury to Fort William, the rollout required a flexible approach to accommodate different building types, existing signage and site requirements, while maintaining a consistent standard across the estate.
The Solution
Greens delivered a mix of external and internal signage, tailored to each location's requirements and the wider Garage Services brand.
Externally, the scheme included folded-tray signs with powder-coated finishes and applied vinyl branding across store fascias, external elevations and existing totem structures. These durable, cost-effective solutions allowed us to refresh the appearance of each site while maintaining consistency across the network.
Inside the garages, we installed branded tension-frame graphics and poster frames, providing a professional finish with the flexibility to update promotional and seasonal messaging as required.
We also manufactured bespoke TV stand units for reception areas, combining Foamex, acrylic and flat-cut lettering to create a more premium branded feature.
With installations taking place across the UK, our teams worked alongside multiple trades to coordinate site activity and keep each phase of the programme moving towards its target dates.
The Result
Over 21 months, Greens delivered signage across more than 100 Halfords Garage Services locations, supporting the integration of National Tyres branches and the transformation of existing Halfords stores.
The result is a more consistent brand presence across the estate, with coordinated external signage and internal graphics helping create a recognisable customer experience at every location.
